About the course

For educators who are enthusiastic about teaching special needs children, especially children who are suffering from ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyperactivity disorder), must pursue a professional training course such as ACT’s specialized courses on ADHD, to efficaciously contribute to the all-round development of these special children. The courses by ACT come in 3 different levels – Certificate, Diploma and Post Graduate Diploma. The courses give you a thorough idea of the types of behavioural issues related to ADHD and the correct approaches to identify and help these learners with special needs. The three levels have been meticulously developed by our expert academicians which enable you to have an understanding of the basics to the advanced knowledge of ADHD.

Aspirants can take a separate CACHE endorsed online course – Recognising and Supporting Children with Special Needs at an additional cost of 120 USD with P G Diploma Level which is another professional course aimed at acquainting the candidates with the correct approaches to follow when it comes to providing the right guidance and support to special kids.

Why this course?

In the present century, special learners study alongside regular learners in today's all-inclusive classrooms, hence educators with special education knowledge will remain one step ahead if they have to manage diverse learners in the classroom. The candidates pursuing the course learn to identify the disability as they get acquainted with the characteristics of an ADHD child – right through childhood and the correct approaches to help them come out of their shell, discover their potential and help them develop into self-confident individuals. Candidates pursuing this course get to learn about the various behavioural problems that ADHD children suffer from and help them overcome the obstacles to work in tandem with regular children and choose the path towards leading an independent life in the future.

Who should attend?

The course can be opted by:

  • Teachers who are working with special children in inclusive classrooms or an aspirant planning to become a trained teacher in a well-recognised educational institution or are looking for better positions like that of a teacher-in-charge
  • For budding entrepreneurs who are looking to open a creche or a day-care centre for children, knowledge on the ways of dealing with special children will be of great help
